The real life Risky Business
"But this is not important. It is the experiences, the memories, the great triumphant joy of living life to the fullest extent in which real meaning is found" (Kraukauer 37).
Topic: Inspiration or Fool?
When you read the book "Into the Wild" the first thing you think is that Chris McCandless is a fool. Just thinking about doing what he does makes me think he is crazy, I never thought I could be inspired by reading his story. After analyzing and really digging into the text you start to think if he is actually crazy or is he brilliant and inspiring to pursue his own happiness and live life to the absolute fullest. This quote specifically tells us that Chris knew what he was doing he knew that he had to give up the comfortable life he had been living in for so long, the only life he really knew. He believes that if you live your life to the fullest extent you will find the real meaning of life. It may sound crazy that sometimes in order to do that you have to give up some of th luxuries we are so used to. In the end the real question is, Is finding the pursuit of happiness worth the Risk? For me personally I wish I could say yes but sadly I have a few fears I need to conquer before I can even begin to think like Chris or should I say Alex Supertramp.
